The Intimacy Allergy #01
The most direct message conveyed by this painting is: in frictionless digital social interactions, we are losing the ability to handle the imperfections of real flesh.
Four Evidence Materials
Evidence Level:L1 General Evidence
Work Overview
● Rejection Reaction to Digital Filters: Under the long term "feeding" of social apps and algorithms, we have become accustomed to "perfect faces" that are beautified, filtered, absolutely symmetrical, and poreless.
● The Sting of Reality: When two real people embrace in reality, the pores, temperature, and uneven textures on each other's skin become an intolerable "foreign body." This "digital rash" symbolizes a physiological rejection reaction – we have developed an "allergy" to real touch.
Field Evidence
Drawn from real sampling of urban surfaces, old photographs, object textures, and site light.
Hand Intervention
Overlaying, repainting, deleting, and renaming reactivate authorial judgment within the image.
Algorithmic Inference
The algorithm generates relationships and variants, but does not make the final judgment.
Material Return
The final output returns to paper, canvas, or panel, completing its material embodiment.
